The Unit carries out biostudies for domestic and international pharmaceutical and biotechnological companies. Each study is approved by Independent Ethics Committee (IECP), which verifies that your safety and integrity as a volunteer is respected at all time. |

Who can Participate? |

To be a volunteer, you need to be healthy male/female and: |

Aged 18 - 45 |

Not using regular medication (apart from women on contraception) |
| |
Females must be using oral contraception or are post-menopausal |

What is biostudy? |
| |
|
| |
Biostudy means comparing two or more medicines from different companies in healthy humans, so that a cheaper generic medicine can be made available in market for benefit of society.
In the study you will receive study medication of different companies by a gap of defined period. Serial blood samples will be collected to measure the amount of medicine that reaches in the blood. During your stay all necessary items such as uniform, towel, soap, hair oil, toothbrush etc & meals will be provided to you. Consumption of tea, coffee, tobacco products & alcohol is strictly prohibited during the study.
As your safety is our primary concern, you will stay under our care for the entire duration of the study. We want your stay to be as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. |

Is it compulsory for me to participate? |

What are the study procedures? |
| |
| |
You will be screened for your healthy status. In this, we will test your blood, urine sample & perform tests including HIV test to decide your fitness. If your all results are normal, then only we will include in study. |

As per the fixed protocol your blood samples will be withdrawn as per time schedule. |

Will I have to follow discipline & study rules? |
| |

Yes, you have to maintain discipline in the facility otherwise your participation in study will be ended |

Will I have to stay in the unit? |
| |
| |
Yes, you have to stay in our clinical facility for a certain period of time (example 36 hrs for 2 times). The stay period may vary from study to study, which will be informed to you prior to the start of study. You will be provided entertainment items such as TV, carom board, ludo, chess, newspapers & magazines. |

Can I leave the study in between? |

Yes, your participation is voluntary & you can withdraw from the study at any stage. |
|

Will company pay me money for participation? |
| |
| |
Company will not pay you money for participation, but as you stay in the facility for 2-3 days, company will take care of your daily wages & travel expenses by paying you some amount approved by IEC. |
